The Ideal Candidate:
Would have basic knowledge of large scale computer/data center equipment, i.e. servers, routers and switches etc., as well as skills using help desk products for entering tickets (Service Now). The candidate should have working knowledge of large printers and computer word processing software. A good candidate can write and speak clearly, effectively, listen and read ideas presented, as well as deal with diverse customers.

Position will act as swing shift 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm operations and graveyard shift 11:00 pm - 7:00 am operations for the State of Utah Salt Lake Data Center providing full coverage 7x24x365 including holidays, nights and weekends with employees covering 3 shifts of days, swings, and grave.
Positions will act as swing shift 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm operations and graveyard shift 11:00 pm - 7:00 am operations for the State of Utah Richfield Data Center providing full coverage 7x24x365 including holidays, nights and weekends with employees covering 3 shifts of days, swings, and grave.
- Data Center Security: Employee must ensure they understand the "Data Center Security" access policy, and ensure that anyone accessing the data center is entering in accordance of the policy guidelines. This includes ensuring all that need to be signed in are signed in, and escorted if required.
- Data Center Monitoring: Employee will be expected to monitor network tools, Utah computer systems, Netbotz, StatSeeker and various other tools as needed.
- Personnel Duties: Dependability and accountability to Customers, Co-Workers, and Management Develop and maintain knowledge of IT systems used currently or in the foreseeable future by the State of Utah and agencies they support Comply with HR policy on Working Conditions Comply with HR policy on Leave Comply with DTS policy on Code of Conduct Attendance in Meetings Respond Promptly to Team member requests Time Entry Escalations Provide coverage for team when needed to support annual leave, sick leave, trainings, or holiday leave for team members Complete training as time and budget permits.
- Service Now Tickets: Understand how to create Service Now requests with associated tasks for data center work orders
- Staffing Coverage: Work with team to schedule time off as requested. Ensure all shifts are covered which would include working holidays so the burden is not put on a few.

- Make a decision and document issues and submit tickets (Service Now) using DTS tracking systems
- Employment contingent on passing a drug screening and a background check.
- Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
- Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
