Principal Duties:
- maintain buildings and facilities in a clean and orderly condition
- remove snow from sidewalks, doorways, etc. as needed
- clean and maintain floors, dust, wax and polish furniture, wash windows, mirrors and other glass or plastic items
- empty trash and garbage
- clean walls and bathrooms, etc.
- clean and disinfect areas and equipment
- set up and arrange tables and chairs
- repair, clean, adjust and/or performs preventive maintenance on equipment, tools, machinery, etc.
- and perform other duties as assigned.
- May be required to clean at multiple facilities daily.
The Ideal Candidate
The model candidate for this position is someone who has experience:
- Performing maintenance knowledge of housekeeping practices.
- Knowledge of housekeeping practices, techniques and procedures.
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
- Use cleaning agents, products and equipment.
- Maintain and/or repair tools and equipment.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check contingent upon employment.

- Risks which require the use of special safety precautions and/or equipment, e.g., working around operating machines, working with contagious diseases or hazardous chemicals, etc.
- The work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion such as frequent climbing of tall ladders, long periods of standing and walking, recurring bending, crouching or crawling in restricted areas, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities, and recurring heavy lifting over 50 pounds.
- Travel to various USDB locations may be required.
