Overview
The Child Development Division, Child Care Financial Assistance Program seeks an individual with knowledge of program integrity practices as applied to public assistance programs. This position is responsible for resolving data match information, reviewing fraud referrals, and auditing vendor documents to determine if sufficient grounds exist for payment recovery. Duties include secondary payroll approval, analysis of provider attendance and preparing written reports on findings. Previous experience in the methods and techniques of investigation and the ability to train others is preferred. Strong data analysis, computer and writing skills are required. A self-motivated individual with a positive attitude would be a great fit for this position. This is a 6 month interim position that is anticipated to end in July 2022.

Class Definition
Quality control work involving public assistance programs administered by the Department for Children and Families of the Agency of Human Services. Incumbents generally operate with considerable independence of action and conducts portions of case reviews in the field. All employees of the Agency of Human Services perform their respective functions adhering to four key practices: customer service, holistic service, strengths-based relationships and results orientation. Work is performed under the supervision of a Supervisor responsible for quality control or an Administrator.
Environmental Factors
Duties are performed in a variety of settings including district offices and clients' homes. Considerable travel may be required and incumbents may be required to use either a state-provided vehicle or a private means of transportation. Incumbents may encounter reluctance or resistance from clients or other individuals in providing necessary information. Incumbents must be able to work within tight time limits and under considerable stress while dealing with hostile/angry clients.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree AND two (2) years or more of experience at a technical or professional level in direct client services in human services, education or child support with at least one year of that experience in program eligibility determination for Medicaid or SNAP.

OR

Associates degree AND four (4) years or more of experience at a technical or professional level in direct client services in human services, education or child support with at least two years of that experience in program eligibility determination for Medicaid or SNAP.

OR

High School diploma or equivalent AND six (6) years or more of experience at a technical or professional level in direct client services in human services, education or child support with at least four years of that experience in program eligibility determination for Medicaid or SNAP.
