DSHS FFA Warehouse Operator 2
We have an opportunity for you to join our team in Shoreline, WA, that upholds the high standards expected of a large facility that supports residents with intellectual disabilities.

As a Warehouse Operator, you will participate in placing orders, receiving, and storing products, surplus removal, conducting inventories, and issuing consumable supplies. Your work will help Transform Lives.
King County employees receive 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary and are eligible to receive a free ORCA card for transportation use.
Some of what you'll do:

Participates in the receiving, unloading, moving and loading of various types of
materials/equipment
- Responsible for unloading trucks and checking the condition, quantity, and type against shipping documents
- Input data entries into a specialized inventory system for any issues, transfers, and receipts of all items coming into the warehouse and going out of the warehouse
- Stock shelves and observe and document items that are of low balance for reordering
- Fill orders and stage the warehouse to transport orders to the requesting destinations
- Communicate and coordinate with management regarding incoming shipments and outgoing returns and/or customer orders
- Perform accurate and routine weekly, monthly, and annual warehouse inventories to ensure physical balances match the computerized inventory listed
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks
- Provide excellent customer service to our customers and vendors
- Routine cleaning of warehouse areas
What we are looking for:
- Strong customer service skills
- Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds frequently during shift and maintain standing up to 8 hours per day
- Willingness and ability to learn/acquire new skills; knowledge and methods related to purchasing, warehouse operations, inventory control, and customer service
- Computer skills - including warehouse inventory management systems
- Ability to accurately complete data entry using 10 keys
- Must be able to work independently and with others
Who should apply?

One year of clerical or technical experience in retail clerking, warehousing, stock keeping, shipping, or receiving and operation of material handling equipment.
