Your journey to make a difference starts here - It begins with you!The IT Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of software development projects and ensuring alignment with Agile methodologies. They will lead quality assurance initiatives, maintain strict security protocols, and guide cross-functional teams towards successful project completion. This role is crucial in strategizing, problem-solving, and serving as a communication conduit between the organization and its diverse clientele!

Some of your duties may include:
  • Initiate Projects: Define and document scope, develop project charter, coordinate project prioritization, determine resource needs, and facilitate work breakdown.
  • Provide Leadership: Create a collaborative culture, maintain project schedules, manage multiple projects, plan, and facilitate meetings, and lead discussions.
  • Manage Project Risk: Implement a consistent risk reporting process, identify, and track project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and report realized risks.
  • Report Project Status: Develop and publish regular status updates, including overall state of the project, milestone dates, risks and mitigations, and budget variances.
  • Develop Schedules: Define Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), develop project schedule, update schedule weekly, and use it to inform team members of assignments.
  • Problem Solving: Address complex issues such as implementing new technology, managing customer expectations, and vendor management.
  • Close Out Projects: Communicate project status, facilitate project retrospective, analyze implementation results, and document lessons learned.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or closely related field AND two (2) years’ experience* managing IT projects of increasing size and complexity, strongly preferred.

OR

  • A combination of education and/or relevant IT experience*, totaling six (6) years.

AND

  • Experiencing using industry standard project management processes as defined in the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK), or Agile methodologies.
  • Experience managing complex projects that followed an industry standard Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experiencing using business and management principles involved in planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination or people and resources.

*A Master's degree or above will substitute for one (1) year of required experience.


Desirable/Preferred Education, Experience or Certifications:
  • Formal Project Management Training, PMP Certification, Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

Additional Requirement of Employment:
