Repair Technician - Roofing & Construction

Work 4-days per week, 10-12 hours per day!As the Repair Technician you will assist with daily crew assignments, communicate with customers, assist with material ordering, and spend the bulk of your day completing warranty and paid roof repairs.

State Roofing was founded in 1968 and has completed well over 60,000 projects. The company performs residential roofing, decking, siding, windows and painting as well as, commercial roofing services from the Canadian border down to Chehalis, WA.

Your role involves:

• Fixing roof issues across composition, metal, PVC and rubber
• Oversight of warranty and paid repair projects
• Training field crew members in weekly technical roofing training classes
• Interaction with customers,
• Ordering materials
• Oversight of safety and quality of our field crews
• Holding team members accountable to our strict safety policies
• Quality control inspections
• Building relationships in the roofing community
• Assist with inventory management
• Critical measurements in advance of jobs starting.

You bring:

• 5 years of field management experience
• 7 years of residential roofing experience
• Bi-lingual is a plus
• In depth knowledge of roofing and construction
• Hands on experience in the roofing industry
• Attention to detail
• Willingness to work hard
• Excellent references
• Ability to type 50 wpm
• Ability to make decisions
• Organizational skills
• Availability M-F from 6 am - 5 pm
• Excellent attendance

A typical day involves:

• 6 am - 6 pm
• Managing warranty and paid repair work in conjunction with the Senior Project Manager
• Developing the talent of others around you
• Helping teams understand what needs to be accomplished on each job
• Updating job statuses and customer communication multiple times per day in the CRM
• Meeting with the crews to go over progress from the previous day
• Setting benchmarks for what is to be accomplished each day
• Ensuring all materials are available for the jobs
• Calling customers to let them know the crews are on the way
• Ordering materials for jobs on a limited basis
• Job site inspections for quality and safety
• Managing job and shop budgets
• Other duties as assigned
