SUNY Fredonia seeks an energetic, innovative, transformative and engaged administrator to serve as its inaugural Vice President for Enrollment Management and Services. This is a senior leadership position and reports directly to the President of the university. The VPEMS is the Chief Enrollment Officer for the university and plays a strategic leadership role in establishing enrollment goals and ensuring successful outcomes for those goals. The VPEMS serves as a member of the President's Cabinet and works collaboratively with the Vice Presidents of Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Finance and Administration, and University Advancement to accomplish the enrollment goals of the university. The successful candidate will directly oversee the strategic vision and coordination of all functions of enrollment management at the university, including the Office of Admissions, Financial Aid, Recruiting and other related areas. This individual will proactively design, implement and monitor an enrollment management strategic plan for the university, and ensure university personnel are supported in successfully achieving the goals of the plan.

The VPEMS has overall responsibility for strategic enrollment management for the university including:

Effective strategic development, planning, execution, and oversight of plans for meeting the university's enrollment goals; As a member of Cabinet, may suggest, influence and formulate policy necessary to support strategic goals;
Provide effective leadership and development for all areas reporting to the VPEMS; Provide overall leadership for the admission of all students at the university;
Compile, analyze, and present data, in collaboration with Institutional Research, to monitor outcomes assessment of enrollment strategies and to guide future initiatives;
Lead the development of a financial assistance model for students that is both sustainable and that will help the university in achieving its goal in expanding access and affordability;
Establish productive relationships across the university with deans, chairs, faculty, staff, athletic teams coaches, and other stakeholders to achieve enrollment goals;
Collaborate with academic and student services departments to develop strategies and initiatives that contribute to the retention of students using key metrics;
Oversee the budget for the unit and provide appropriate stewardship of all resources necessary to ensure success of achievement of enrollment goals;
Cultivate productive relationships with high schools and community colleges across the region to meet the enrollment goals of university;
Engage in strategic communications with prospective students and their families throughout of the recruitment process;
Ensure the execution of an effective 24- month recruitment calendar, including appropriate measures for assessing impacts of recruitment initiatives;
Engage with other leaders in campus-wide efforts that support increasing diversity among the student body, including internationalization and recruitment of international students;
Leverage appropriate technologies, including Slate, to enhance outcomes of enrollment efforts;
Collaborate with Academic Affairs to develop, review, and maintain agreements with community colleges; Other responsibilities as assigned by the President

Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A Master's degree in a related field from an accredited university;
Significant and progressively responsible experience in enrollment management;
Progressively responsible experience supervising staff
Experience managing complex budgets;
Demonstrated significant success in the area of enrollment management; Knowledge of using campus-based technologies for enrollment management, which may include Student Information System (e.g. Banner), CRM (e.g. Slate), or other similar categories of software. Willingness to learn and leverage technology resources.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of 6 years of recent experience as a leader in higher education, and specifically in the area of enrollment management

Experience developing and implementing a strategic enrollment management plan;

Marketing experience including direct experience initiating marketing campaigns;

Experience mentoring team members;

Have strong analytical skills;

Have an earned terminal degree (JD, Ed.D, and Ph.D.) from an accredited college or university.

Additional Information:
This is a management confidential position that comes with a competitive salary and exceptional state benefits package. It is an on-campus position and salary will be based on qualifications.

Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Hence, the successful candidate must be able to work in the United States upon appointment. Start date is negotiable. However, that date cannot be beyond February 1, 2024.
