JOB SUMMARY:
The Financial Analyst will support the accounting and finance departments with financial analysis, financial modeling and projections, strategic metrics, and ad hoc analysis. This individual is a financial leader that will collaborate with the finance and accounting teams, as well as cross functionally collaborating across the organization to help analyze and communicate key drivers of the company financial budgeting and financial results. This individual will also develop an in-depth knowledge of the business areas supported including company initiatives, budgeting, forecasting, along with Ad-Hoc what if analysis. They will use the data to influence key decision making and report the financial results. This position is critical to producing accurate and timely financial information that will be used across the organization by key internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate must have a strong financial acumen and be able to logically apply the information to many scenarios while considering company objectives and expectations.
FUNDAMENTAL JOB TASKS:
- Proven ability to develop strategic relationships with your business partners
- Partner with Finance / Accounting teams and produce monthly, quarter, and annual financial reporting & close activities
- Key contributor or Financial Planning, GL Accounting Management, and Corporate Taxes
- Assist with financial statement preparation and review including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements
- Expert in gathering, analyzing, and managing big data sets to lead business improvement and aid financial transparency
- Implement forecasting and reporting models while overseeing the fiscal annual budgeting responsibilities
- Provide financial guidance on actual spend, operational processes, and financial planning
- Cross-functional collaboration across the entire organization with monthly P&L statements and budget to actual support
- Make recommendations to management based on in-depth knowledge of the financial information
- Ability to be flexible, adapt, and work in a face paced and changing environment
- Strong organizational ability and proven attention to detail abilities
- Work independently in solving business issues and taking initiative to research new ideas and concepts
- An understanding of the “why” of business transactions and the ability to understand and apply to the “big picture”
- Effectively communicate to all levels across the organization both verbal and written, including presenting findings
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years of finance, accounting, or analysis experience
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools: Access, Crystal, Webi, Cognos BI, SQL, and other financial systems: SAP, Oracle, IBM ISeries, Peoplesoft, Lawson
- Demonstrated aptitude to build financial models forecasting, variance analysis, with exceptional problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to work with business leaders to deliver results, including the ability to persuade
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work autonomously with proven results
