We are currently looking for Part Time Tasting Room Associate candidates to join our team at Erath.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in Erath’s urban tasting room in Portland’s historic Pearl District! What you will do:
- Conduct winery tours, tastings and other events for guests
- Provide accurate information about the company/winery to guests, encouraging guests to join our wine club and mailing list
- Greet all guests and provide a summary of the winery, provide direction appropriately
- Learn product information to assist guests with making selections and purchases.
- Drive revenue by selling wine and merchandise to guests.
- Operate POS/registers to sell wine, merchandise, wine club memberships and to collect wine tasting fees as needed.
What you will bring:
- At least two years of customer service experience, hospitality/retail/restaurant preferred
- Strong overall knowledge and interest in wine industry – Oregon wine knowledge highly preferred
- Excellent organizational skills, customer service skills and ability to sale
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Must be flexible and available to work varied hours/days of the week, including evenings and weekends
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- OLCC and Food Handlers Permits required
- History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies
Physical Requirements -
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Stand, walk for extended periods of time
