DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY

To function as a team lead of the department, performing various tasks including creating and managing component kits for assembly departments, assembling fabricated parts, and/or packaging of product to meet production goals, depending on assigned area

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

•Maintain standard 5S expectations 

•Assemble fabricated parts to meet product specifications and production goals

•Prepare and package products for accurate and timely shipping

•Pull components for kits and document actions as directed

•Provide timely notification and identification of shortages affecting orders 

•Collaborate with Water Spider and manufacturing teams daily for efficient flow of priority products

•Report health of related inventory systems as identified in relationship to min-max levels and re-order points

•Comply with all Quality requirements

•Follow all guidelines set forth in work instructions

•Adhere to applicable Food & Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines

•Identify any documentation errors and bring to the attention of the Production Supervisor

•Adhere to the calibration schedule for all tools used by the team

•Represent assigned department(s), Supervisor and Manager in a professional manner

•Provide process and/or product related liaison support between team members and support/customer departments

•Ensure Supervisor/Manager is aware of requests and/or inquiries from other departments

•Provide first line of defense for process related issues

•Coach team members in the skills needed to perform work in a quality and cost-effective manner

•Remain aware of scheduling and capacity status to ensure that immediate assignments or reassignments are done

•Assign work and reassign work as needed

•Perform OJT training in a professional and timely manner

•Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times

•Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management

•Focus on continuous Lean Manufacturing improvement and consistently demonstrate good business judgment

•Work effectively with all Stealth departments to exceed internal and external expectations

•Stealth retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

•Must be a team player, detail-oriented, and honest

 

Must have the ability to: 

•Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment

•Be cross-trained for multiple jobs with assigned work area(s)

•Work under general supervision and direction from lead person, supervisor and manager

•Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

•Use a hydraulic lift, small hand tools, cutting tools, sewing equipment, small table lifting device and electronic testing equipment 

•Lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.

 

Must have: 

•Good verbal and written communication skills

•Willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

•1 year of experience in a production/manufacturing role 

•Previous experience using hand tools to assemble or repair product

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

•Current or previous successful employment experience with Stealth Products (directly, independently or through a third party)

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION

•High School Diploma or GED

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

•Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future
