We are seeking a K-8 Assistant Teacher to support our growing Kindergarten to Eighth Grade program. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching and experience in a K-8 setting. Additionally, successful candidates will have excellent classroom management skills and a desire to collaborate closely with colleagues. These skills are essential for supporting the lower and middle school programs as an Assistant Teacher. Candidates should have the flexibility to teach multiple ages, adapt to new surroundings quickly, experience with curriculum development, and an active interest in teaching with project-based and technology-based learning is preferred.
Qualification Requirements: Interest in outdoor education, place-based activities, and project-based learning. Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, the ability and desire to work collaboratively, and dedication to continuously developing and practicing cultural competence in one’s teaching are also essential.
Compensation and Benefits: Steamboat Mountain School offers a rich and comprehensive benefits package. Salary range $35,000 to $40,000 depending on experience Potential for on campus housing Medical including short term disability Dental Vision Retirement contribution match after one year of service Tuition remission benefits after two years of service Summer vacation, most holidays, and all school vacations.
