Overview
The role of the Product Manager is to work collaboratively with internal team and clients on innovative digital projects throughout the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to launch and beyond. We are looking for a forward leaning and community building Product Manager with a passion for agile software development.
Contributions
- Creates and maintain product roadmaps, feature backlogs, and product documentation such as PRDs, user stories, user flows, and functional specifications.
- Collaborate with internal UI/UX Designers and Developers to reach the best possible version of a product to bring to market.
- Prioritize development activities with engineering teams, assist in determining the best technical implementation methods, work closely with QA on acceptance testing, and lead product launches.
- Clearly and proactively communicate and guide our clients on the best course of action - even in scenarios where the client has preconceptions.
- Excellent communication skills who can work with key stakeholders/customers to support planning and delivery of technical IT development Agile projects.
- Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.
- Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members.
- Support managing customer expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and help to implement an effective system of project governance
- Coaches the teams in their understanding of the delivery process, the agile mindset, and client values
- Serves business engagement by making sure team issues are escalated, worked, and resolved
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; or technical degree or diploma in related industry, or equivalent work experience
- 8 Years Experience Working in Agile Development Teams
- 5 Years Experience Serving as the Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Business Analyst
- Knowledge and experience working with deployment teams and understanding release management and configuration management processes
- Knowledge and experience delivering technical projects within a software development lifecycle using Lean and Agile methodologies
- Practical experience using JIRA as an Agile Lifecycle management Tool
Preferred
- One or more certifications related to Agile
- One or more certifications related to Product Management and/or Product Ownership
- ICAgilele Certified Agile Product Ownership (ICP-APO)
- SAFe Product Owner / Product Manager
- SAFE Agile Product Management
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (Scrum Alliance)
- Professional Scrum Product Owner (I or II) from Org
- Preferred experience in serving as a Scrum Master
- Experience in Extreme Programming environments
