Production Planner
Steel Craft is seeking a Production Planner. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing customer demand and material requirements to create a detailed and feasible production plan by work center to hand off to Operations. You will work closely with Operations to measure the success of the plan, take action when the plan is at risk, and communicate with Customer Service with any shipment concerns.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan production materials using MRP system and other tools, ensure system is setup to drive the optimal production plan, let the system do the heavy lifting.
- Track bill of material components to ensure timely release of production orders.
- Provide a detailed schedule to Operations by SKU and by Work Center, track progress weekly and report out any concerns, work with Operations to ensure the schedule is feasible and create alternate plans to meet requirements.
- Work with the S&OP team to address gaps and create solutions to meet the plan.
- Owner of On Time Delivery for assigned customers.
- Provide updates to Customer Service and Sales for expedite requests and availability dates, communicating professionally and in a timely manner.
- Facilitate the collection of information in order to monitor business trends and opportunities.
- Completes special projects as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School diploma or GED.
- 2-5 years' experience in materials, supply chain, purchasing and/or planning.
- Excellent planning and time management skills.
- Must possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, high energy and capable of driving change.
- Capable of dealing with multiple priorities and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with people in one-on-one and team settings.
- Must have an excellent understanding of the upstream and downstream of the supply chain process.
- ERP Experience (Epicor preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary : $41,700 - $52,800
