Production Clerk - NMBS Memphis

Production Clerk position that will perform daily reconciliation of production, file computer/paper documents, assist with HR tasks, and ordering of manufacturing supplies in a steel processing facility with deck rolling mills, paint line, weld line, fabrication/assembly area, and accessories equipment.

Responsibilities

• Daily reconciliation of production logs for all areas of the plant:
  • Verifying production reports from all areas of the plant match production shown on computer, reconcile if differences
  • Verifying footage remaining on coils or coils consumed
  • Filing of all reports
  • Calculation of production bonuses for each area of plant
• HR/Payroll functions
  • Verify time cards for 50 employees weekly
  • Scan/submit payroll information
  • New employee documentation
  • Assist employees with HR questions
  • Track employee vacation requests
  • Manage employee personal files
• Ordering/tracking manufacturing supplies
  • Ordering consumables
  • Ordering tools and parts
  • Ordering dunnage
  • Tracking and performing physical inventories in the plant
• Mill certification verification of coils for customer orders
• Creating/modifying/managing production reports for all areas of the plant
• Managing shop order work flow
  • Getting shop orders from OIS to Eclipse to AMS to run on deck mills
  • Printing shop orders and deck labels
• Any other duties necessary for improving plant performance

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills including email, spreadsheets, and the ability to learn proprietary company software program
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Time management skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
