Day to Day:
- Purchasing and tracking of finished materials (drywall, tools and other construction materials and supplies)
- Issue purchase orders/contracts/agreements
- Establish strong relationships and negotiate with outside vendors and internal managers (branch managers, inventory control, management)
- Establish a standard inventory level for all branches so they have more consistency
- Reduce our current costs of distribution items in the branches by buying direct
- Establish and maintain cost pricing
- Provide direction to branches on product assortment and presentation
Qualifications:
- 3 years purchasing experience, preferably in construction materials
- 3 years inventory control
- Ability to learn new systems quickly and efficiently
- Ability to switch between tasks quickly and prioritize projects in a structured manner
