As a thriving auction company since 1960, we have been busy selling everything from combines & tractors to tillable farm acreage, hay, and livestock. The Yard Associate at Steffes Group, Inc. will be based out of our Williston, ND site. The focus of this role will be to provide customer service support to Steffes Group customers & clients while assisting with organization and cleanliness of the company lot. This role will report directly to the Lead Auction Coordinator.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Unload and tag incoming auction items as items are brought into Steffes Group lot while working closely with the sellers in a professional & courteous manner
- Assist buyers with loading purchased auction items after purchase process is finalized
- Communicate with Sales Team regarding auction items being dropped off & picked up by buyers & sellers
- Safely operate an array of equipment including skid steers, loaders, farm machinery, company vehicles, and other equipment as needed
- Assist in maintenance of yard & auction facility at our Williston, ND site - including organization of auction items and supplies, overall cleanliness of the shop, and landscaping of the yard
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Driver’s License is required
- Ability to lift 75lbs. consistently & bending, twisting at the waist as needed
- Background in agriculture & equipment experience is strongly preferred
- Willingness and ability to obtain a CDL-A is strongly preferred
- General knowledge of auction process & procedures is a bonus

- Strong organizational mindset with ability to follow direction while paying attention to detail
