Staff Accountant
The Stella Orton Home Care Agency, Inc. a leading not-for-profit home care service organization seeking a full time Staff Accountant. Candidate must have strong computer and excel experience.
Responsibilities include: (but not limited to)
- · Provide general accounting and bookkeeping support to various department functions
- · Knowledge of accounts receivable/payable and payroll functions
- · Maintain and balance an automated consolidation system by inputting data; scheduling required jobs; verifying data.
- · Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet report and verifying information.
- · Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts.
- · Prepare payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts.
- · Respond to accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- · Knowledge if internal financial statements preparation.
Skills and Qualifications:
- · BS in Accounting
- · Nonprofit experience preferred.
- · Knowledge of Fund-EZ preferred.
- · QuickBooks and/or other accounting software preferred.
- · Strong Excel skills a must.
- · Home Care experience a plus.
