External Title: Sr. Pricing Ananlyst
Internal Title: Sr Specialist, Proposal Management
Salary: $120,000-$140,000/yr
Location: Torrance, CA (Hybrid)
Responsibilities
- Identifies factors required to provide cost and price information data.
- Provides analyses of cost data and makes recommendations to management regarding price. Analyzes complex cost data to determine projected profits or potential losses including risk analysis. Analyzes and presents alternative pricing scenarios with varying risk trade-offs.
- Develop pricing strategy & coordinate with Sales to build a winning pricing proposal that incorporates financial objectives and is fully compliant with FAR/TINA, CAS and company policies and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state and other related pricing laws, regulations and guidelines to minimize legal and financial exposure. Ensure that proposals meet the definition of an adequate proposal per FAR guidelines.
- Represents the company in high-level contract negotiations by providing information and influencing the process in the best business interest of the company.
- Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
- Use existing pricing model as well as build subsidiary spreadsheets utilizing MS Excel to comply with various customer requirements.
- Propricer experience is a plus.
- Generate detailed pricing utilizing estimates, pricing model, proposal structure, and pricing strategy.
- Develop cost estimating relationships, conduct studies and perform special projects as required.
- Interface with DCAA to provide supporting data and justification during audit.
- Support customer evaluation/fact-finding phase and negotiations while operating as the pricing lead.
- Acts as consultant to management on major matters. May provide leadership to others in related functions or to business or ad-hoc teams.
Qualifications
A bachelors degree (BA) in Accounting, Business, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field and demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 10 or more years of related experience. Use of Propricer is a plus. An advanced degree in a relevant field can be considered sufficient experience in lieu of some profession experience. Other qualifications that will enable you to perform successfully in this position include:
- Experience working with Propricer Software is a plus.
- Must be able to work well in a team environment and with individuals from a variety of areas within the company (such as program managers, engineers from multiple disciplines, business development staff, senior management, and manufacturing and Proposal personnel)
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications is necessary
- Effective verbal and written communication skills are needed, with experience presenting to internal customers a plus
