What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Manager position at Stellantis?
The Customer Experience organization is currently seeking a highly skilled, solutions-oriented Yard Manager to join the Customer Experience/Yard Management team supporting the Sterling Heights and Warren Truck Assembly Plants. The Yard Manager is responsible for managing vehicles held in plant shipping yards with quality concerns. They will also work with cross-functional groups and inspection/repair third party providers to achieve efficient and effective repairs on a timely basis. Travel is required (Canada, USA, Mexico).
The selected individual will have experience in managing cross-functionally and possess a broad knowledge of the entire automotive engineering, manufacturing, and quality landscape. The candidate must be a high-energy, hands-on individual with strength of convictions -- a self-confident leader who, in part due to his/her personal presence, style, and demeanor, effectively sells ideas and solutions to others. Moreover, this person must have unquestioned integrity.

Organized into cross-functional teams, it's a unique Stellantis division consisting of manufacturing, engineering, and supplier quality department members who work together to solve product quality issues and reduce warranty claims. - Plan, prioritize, set goals, and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment
- Display effective communication skills to support meetings at all levels of the company, including senior leadership
- Possess strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a team environment
- Lead all activities associated with quality hold property stock for two high volume / high revenue assembly plants
- Lead cross functional team to develop and implement repair processes that ensure vehicles are repaired correctly resulting in a warranty reduction
- Ensure 100% cost recovery for all quality holds
- Strong understanding of logistics network and repairing of vehicles in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain internal databases that track inventory and process audits.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Industrial Management, Operations, Quality, or Manufacturing
- 2 years Manufacturing or Customer Experience work experience.
