We're a startup VC firm launching a 10k NFT project to raise our fund and looking for an Atlanta based graphic designer to join our design team immediately to in preparation for our launch. We have an innovative business model (triple bottom line - look it up) for funding STEM companies led by women and BIPOC - because they typically receive only 3% of funding opportunities even still.

We are looking for a graphic designer/artist to join our team. In order to achieve the work we do, we need a graphic designer to help our ideas come to life - first in completing the NFT designs in Adobe Illustrator and then in supporting marketing, PR and social media efforts for our launch and growth.

A successful candidate is:

• Ready to take on any challenge with a positive and can-do attitude
• Willing and eager to work in the STEMinists Atlanta, GA office three days per week to start, schedule is flexible and can be more remote post-launch
• Well-rounded and comfortable receiving feedback and design direction to ensure consistent artistic style across the team

A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Work with a small team of freelance artists in support of a variety of company projects related to STEM, feminism and startups
• Types of tasks would include: graphic design, character illustration, concept illustration, print media, 2D art and animations, video editing, user interface design, and motion graphics
• Support miscellaneous tasks in-house such as t-shirt designs, business cards, graphics for internal presentations and social media, marketing products, photography and videography, etc.
• Juggle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet assignment deadlines
• Ability to take a creative brief and run with it to produce fantastic results
• Keep current on design, social trends, and industry technology, sharing findings with the department to facilitate new ways of thinking, working, and problem-solving

WHAT WE OFFER

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Ability to complete character illustrations in Adobe Illustrator according to our design style and guidelines and brand aesthetic
• Ability to represent our characters in BIPOC LBGTQIA variations - we want all people who identify as female to see themselves in our work
• An extraordinary portfolio of work — your resume tells part of your story, but a stellar portfolio will sell it
• Proficient with Adobe Illustrator and including, but not limited to: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Acrobat
• Proficient with Canva
• Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary, collaborative environment
• Strong written and verbal communications skills. Able to clearly articulate design choices as needed.

• Have knowledge or interest in cryptocurrency or NFT's (non-fungible tokens)

• Note that we will not use your character submission for any purpose other than deciding to hire you.
• If hired, we'll pay you up to $250 for the character design, depending on how many changes would be needed to finalize it for use in the collection.
