Job Summary
- Position Title: Security Architect II-US
- Work Location: 90% remote, 10% in Syracuse, NY for meetings and collaboration.
- Must be local to NY, NJ
- Provide vision, architectural oversight, and life cycle engineering for the National Grid Global Network infrastructure.
- Maintain the integrity of the infrastructure, including data, voice, and security components.
- Design, implement, and support solutions involving WAN, LAN, WLAN, Data Analytics, Security, and Virtual Data Center technologies.
- Collaborate with various teams for project management, technical training, and customer support.
- Act as a technical SME for network architecture, providing solutions, pricing assistance, and technical presentations.
- Stay updated with relevant changes in technology and contribute to long-range planning for growth and optimization.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- CCIE Data Center certification.
- Ten or more years of relevant work experience, with expertise in network architecture.
- Experience in implementing various network technologies, such as MPLS, VoIP, VPN, LAN, WAN, etc.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in sales or service of Fortune 500 companies.
- Successful project delivery in a Fortune 100 company.
- Analytical skills to isolate and resolve complex issues.
- Preferred Certifications:
- Expert level certifications such as Cisco CCIE Data Center, TOGAF, or ITIL.
