Environmental Health and Safety Consultant

The dynamic person that fills this position, will help to expand partnerships, and increase network opportunities in the technical area of emergency preparedness.

Position Title: EHS Consultant, Full-time (40 hours per week), exempt position

Basic Function:

The primary responsibilities of this position are client management, training, and expanding our client portfolio. Specifically, the right individual for this position will work directly with our clients to provide emergency preparedness services and training aligned with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response). This will include industrial incident command, emergency response team development, industrial and community risk assessments and emergency plan development. This position will also develop and deliver instruction training on general industry standards includeing permit required confined space entry operations, control of hazardous energy (lockout/tagout), hazard communication as well as other client requested EHS subject matter.

Principle Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage client projects and training requirements;
2. Provide risk assessment inspections and recommend solutions that meet regulatory compliance requirements and the needs of our clients;
3. Develop innovative emergency preparedness strategies and implementation of these strategies;
4. Increase client services and expand client base.

Preferred Skills:

1. Over 5 years of emergency response & safety experience
2. Bachelor degree in a safety related field
3. Industrial Hygiene experience is a plus
4. Excellent communication and training skills with proven ability to dynamically deliver instruction in a classroom and applied setting
5. Ability to interface with clients to improve and implement their emergency management programs
6. Sales/marketing proven record a plus

Pay: From $68,000.00 per year
