GENERAL DESCRIPTION – PURPOSE OF ROLE:
Under limited supervision this position will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in providing technical support and assistance to end-users within our organization. This internship is ideal for individuals looking to develop their IT skills, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to a collaborative IT support team on an enterprise scale.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist Software Developer in creating technical design specifications and documentation for applications specifically designed for Backyard Leisure.
- End-User Support: Provide friendly and professional support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person to assist with IT-related issues and inquiries.
- Ticket Management: Log, prioritize, and manage support requests using our ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when necessary.
- Hardware and Software Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems for end-users, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Password Resets: Assist with password resets, account unlocks, and access requests to ensure users can access the resources they need.
- Software Installation and Configuration: Help end-users with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of software applications.
- Basic Network Troubleshooting: Provide initial troubleshooting for network connectivity issues and assist with basic network-related inquiries.
- Documentation: Create and update documentation, including FAQs and knowledge base articles, to facilitate self-service support for common issues.
- User Training: Offer guidance and basic training to end-users on IT tools and best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to resolve complex issues and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Hardware Inventory: Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of IT equipment and assets.
- Adherence to Policies: Ensure that all support activities adhere to company IT policies, security standards, and best practices.
