SUMMARY: The Director of Finance and Administration works as an integral part of the Administration Team. The Director of Finance and Administration performs, but not limited to, the following duties; overseeing the finance department, conducting financial assessments, generating reports, establishing budgets and conduct risk assessments on business initiatives. This position requires a flexible schedule including 1st and 2nd shift. The agency has the right to change shifts based on the needs of the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Prepare, review and adhere to the budgets for the agency.
Ensure that all of the agency financial practices are in line in statutory regulations and legislation.
Analyze the financial climate and market trends to create strategic plans for the future.
Interpret complex financial information and provide updates and information as needed.
Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions.
Seek out methods and practices to minimize financial risk.
Prepare official reports on a monthly and annual basis to the board of directors.
Reports monthly statistical and financial data to various agencies.
Contract auditing services to ensure financial monitoring is up-to-date to meet reporting requirements.
Update and implement financial policies and procedures.
Maintain a policy manual for the finance department.
Supervise finance staff in the facilitation of day-to-day operations, including tracking financial data, invoicing, accounts receivable and payable, treatment fee card tabulation and collection of fees, food stamps, bank deposits and reconciliation’s, contract billing and the draw down and distribution of available federal and state money etc.
Establish and implement a training program for new and current finance employees.
Ability to climb three flights of stairs to deal with emergencies.
Ability to respond to emergency situations by placing calls to Fire, Rescue, Police, and Medical etc.
ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS:
Complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
Perform program recordkeeping, filing, and the organization of vital documents.
Provide telephone coverage for the assigned program and direct calls to other programs as needed.
Participate in required supervisions staff meetings and trainings.
Participate and cooperate in any investigations conducted by internal and external agencies.
Ability to use a computer including inputting information into data systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting with a concentration in Business.
Certified Public Accountant preferred.
Minimum of five years’ experience in accounting.
Minimum of three years’ experience in leadership and management.
Superior attention to detail, organizational skills, analytical skills, computer skills and multi-tasking skills.
Good working knowledge of computers, electronic health records and data collection.
Requires valid driver’s license for business related travel.
