POSITION SUMMARY:
A Legal Administrative Assistant assists attorneys and paralegals through the performance of complex and substantive legal tasks requiring knowledge of legal terminology and the legal process. The Legal Administrative Assistant is required to handle strict confidential client and firm data in a professional and ethical manner on a daily basis and provide attorneys with assistance as defined below.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide support to assigned attorney(s) and paralegal(s)
2. Format documents into final form, proofread, copy, scan, mail, etc.
3. Process incoming and outgoing mail
4. File/e-file documents with courts and/or agencies
5. Opening/closing files, consistent with department and firm practice
6. Manage data and prepare presentations as needed
7. Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
2. One year administrative office experience is required. Bachelor’s degree may substitute for experience.
3. Litigation experience is highly desired.
