Stericycle is seeking a Plant Supervisor at their Medical Waste Facility in Reserve, LA!
Salary: $47,300
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Rotating Shift | Some Weekends
Rotating Shift: 2 weeks 6am-2:30pm; 2 weeks 3:30pm to 12am
1-3 Years Experience Managing Staff.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must have valid driver's license.
Forklift Certification Preferred.
Proficient Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook
Must be able to lift 40-60lbs.

Position Purpose:

Key Job Activities:
- Selects, trains, and develops a safe, effective and efficient staff.
- Ensures the plant meets regulatory and safety compliance measures and operates in a productive and profitable manner.
- Maintain overall cost control of the plant.
- Ensures continuous improvement of productivity standards and worker safety performance in all phases of the operation.
- Interface proactively with personnel to achieve business goals.
- Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, either internally or externally.
- Initiate actions to assure timely resolution of identified hazards or unsafe conditions or practices.
- Training of all new plant and monthly training of current plant personnel.
- Perform periodic facility audits, review of all applicable regulatory paperwork, e.g., biological testing, WW testing, etc.).
- Provides for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting when necessary.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
Education:
Required Education: Associates or Equivalent
Experience:
- Associates Degree or equivalent.
- 3 Years of Experience, 1 years experiencing managing staff, preferably in a plant or manufacturing environment.
- Identifies major activities of, and services provided by, the operations function.
- Locates and interprets standard and management reports on plant activities.
- Describes characteristics of a well-run manufacturing plant.
- Knowledge of barcode scanning and basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations.
- Ability to operate a powered industrial truck, e.g., forklift.
- Ability to perform functions safely, productively and according to policies & procedures.
