Position Summary
The Production Team Lead role has the responsibility of ensuring all aspects of safety, quality, productivity and cost reduction are fulfilled. This role also provides support by knowing all the jobs performed by team members so they can relieve workers, fill in for absentees, or help workers who need assistance or are falling behind. Also responds to problems such as line stops, quality issues, as well as takes the lead role in continuous improvement activities. Additionally, performs regular checks on machine and team member performance.
Duties
Safety – Responsible for understanding and complying with all company and department related safety practices including wearing required PPE, following machine safety protocols, and safely lifting a maximum of 30 lbs.
Quality – Must be able to understand, adhere to, and disseminaSource Trackerte all documented procedures and quality practices.
Technical - Must be able to read, apply, and communicate instructions and specifications from a variety of sources including: Work Instructions, Drawings, Machine Manuals, and Inspection Checklists while manufacturing product. Able to setup and run all equipment within assigned department.

- Training – Responsible for ensuring all team members are properly trained and that all training records are maintained and up to date.
Education Degree
Required Experience
- Demonstrated skills in working safely with mechanical equipment
- 7 years of machine operation experience; preferably in the flexographic or paper conversion industry
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience including problem solving and training
- Working knowledge of ERP transactions, maintenance programs, and quality management software
- Experienced in Lean best practices such as 6S, Kaizen and Standard Work
- Computer skills - Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word – SAP experience is a plus
