What are the responsibilities and job description for the Montessori Teacher position at Sterling-Bambini Montessori School?
Our Montessori School is seeking for a loving, nurturing and fun teacher to lead our TODDLER & PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS. ECE and other teaching certifications is required. Montessori School experience certification is a plus.
Location is only at 821 Sterling Parkway, Lincoln, CA. Regular Work schedule of 4-8 hours per day shall be decided upon by Management between 630 am to 6 pm. Part time workers may be assigned to the opening or closing shifts.
Starting Salary: $18.00 per hour or more, depending on qualifications and childcare experience.
We are looking for a committed Teacher to complement our qualified workforce of educators. You will be responsible for preparing and implementing a full educational teaching plan according to the school’s requirements. It will be fundamental to provide knowledge and instruction to students while also helping them develop their personalities and skills. The ideal candidate must be passionate for the job with the ability to reach out to children and create a relationship of mutual trust. They will know how to organize a class and make learning an easy and meaningful process. The goal is to help cultivate the students’ interest in education and be their dedicated ally in the entire process of learning and development.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. At least one year experience with childcare. Should enjoy working with children.
2. One of the following Child Development Permits issued by the California Commissions on Teacher Credentialing;
a. Child Development Associate Teacher Permit; or
b. Child Development Teacher Permit; or
c. Child Development Master Teacher Permit
3. MONTESSORI Certification is a plus or in the process of being train and studying.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning
- Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning
- Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments etc.)
- Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback
- Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom
- Collaborate with other teachers, parents and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings
- Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events
- Observe and understand students’ behavior and psyche and report suspicions of neglect, abuse etc.
