We are looking for a Planner to join our Client in Amboy, IL.
What is exciting about this position?
Reporting to the Planning Supervisor, you will analyze capacity and material requirements to meet our customer needs within a framework of manufacturing, scheduling, and inventory control. We need someone with high attention to detail to order all raw materials necessary to establish an efficient manufacturing schedule while considering customer delivery requirements, machine capability, workforce power, tooling, materials purchased, and quality requirements. After, you will use your strong analytical skills to monitor production performance, and maintain and analyze data for future planning.
- Evaluate production needs and inventory levels to place strategic orders and maintain proper inventory control.
- Arrange shipping procedures with suppliers to meet necessary arrival date at the best price, while ensuring adequate inventory levels to prevent shortages, reduce excess inventory, and obsolescence.
- Maintain our packing specifications and registers. You ensure the functionality requested by Division Purchasing validates through the appropriate paperwork including certificates of conformance.
- Actively participate in programs to improve workplace safety, and participate in plant audits. Additionally, participate in projects designed to transform and improve efficiencies through the supply chain.
What do you need to bring with you?
- This position requires intermediate excel skills.
- Ideally, an undergraduate degree, flexibility, and a desire to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude will set you up for success in this role. Solid time management to perform time-sensitive tasks, and maintain an on-time schedule.
