What do we need?
We are seeking highly motivated, eager individuals who will support our Hospitality team as Interns. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and possess excellent customer service skills, as well as exceptional oral and written communication skills. Previous hospitality experience is a plus but not required. Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program is preferred.
How will you make an impact?
- Working with the firm’s front desk team to assist with reception, answering telephone calls as needed, taking accurate and complete messages for those who are unavailable.
- Assisting with guest registration and entry to the firm, promptly greeting all incoming guests in a friendly and professional manner, and guiding guests to meeting spaces as needed.
- Helping to maintain a neat and organized reception desk and front lobby area.
- Assisting with Hospitality team administrative tasks, including placing catering orders, expense reporting, submitting invoices, arranging restaurant reservations, and other related tasks.
- Assisting the hospitality manager with internal meeting support, firm event planning, and other related duties.
- Supporting the reception area Barista Bar as needed.
- Ordering and stocking supplies as needed.
- Performing other administrative duties as requested.
What will you bring to the role?
- Prior customer service experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking skills desired.
- Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills.
- Ability to share knowledge and work in a strong team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail with an ability to complete projects and assignments.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
The pay rate for Hospitality Interns is $17 per hour. We are looking for candidates who can start immediately and can commit to work around 15-20 hours per week during the semester and the summer. We are open to candidates who can work full-time in the summer as well. This internship will be fully in-person from our DC office. Please indicate your availability to work in your cover letter.
