General Summary: This position is responsible for the merchandise planning to achieve company sales, margin, turnover and flow projections.
Major Responsibilities
- Analyze and forecast customer sales, selling plans, receipt plans, markdowns, turn, and gross margin.
- Able to facilitate 6 month flows from bottoms up.
- Work closely with account executives to review, analyze and initiate change in ladders, orders and sales.
- Evaluate economic trends in forecasting future business trends
- Other duties as assigned
- Travel
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Specific Job Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, AS/400 system and Retail Math required.
- Must be organized, able to set priorities, self-starter.
- Independently examines complex information and/or situation, evaluates potential impact, options and makes recommendations.
Education, Licenses, Certificates, Registrations and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in planning or related field.
Language Skills:
- Interpersonal interactions such as negotiating, selling, making group presentations
- Ability to perform complex verbal and written communications face to face and in group settings.
