The Accounts Payable Analyst performs a variety of detailed accounting tasks in accordance with standard accounting procedures, under general supervision and guidance. This position encompasses all aspects of Accounts Payable and other general accounting duties as assigned. All duties have a written expectation of timeliness. Weekly and monthly audits of the AP aging and Unbilled Receipts register and assist in the management of Accounts Payable.
Applicants can expect to make between $50,000 to $60,000 a year upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors.

Your Day to Day
- Covers all aspects of an AP position
- Evaluates work for accuracy
- Process accounts and outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Reviews vouchers and checks for accuracy prior to before check signature
- Process AP invoices
- 3 way matching (Match PO and POD/BOL to vendor invoices)
- Verify taxes, pricing, receiving, location, vendor information, totals, calculate and accrue for use tax.
- Code non PO invoices to appropriate general ledger account
- Obtain appropriate approvals for payment
- Manage short shipments and credits due SRO
- Inquire internally and externally to obtain missing information
- Manage weekly check disbursements – ensure discounts are taken
- Review vouchers and checks for accuracy prior to before check signature
- Experience with ACH payments
- Accurate and timely payments
- Maintain outstanding checks in-tandem with Accounting Manager
- Maintain hardcopy files of closed AP
- Keep updated on sales and use tax regulations
- Maintain database for vendor proof of insurance & W-9 Forms
- Annual 1099
- Generate all applicable
- Maintain copies
- Report to Accounting Manager
- Monitors AP aging and un-invoiced receipts – maintain within written expectations
- Provides update on progress and issues and escalate them as necessary
- Develop and maintain reports and files on Accounts Payable Processing
- Maintain monthly Accounts payable accrual file and processes
- Understands the management of Quality Systems and is familiar with SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices which help ensure the safety within the workplace and the production of a safe and quality product(s).
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Team
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in all aspects of Accounts Payable and general accounting
- Intermediate level of computer skills is required with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- experience.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to focus is critical.
Preferred
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems and system interfaces
- Minimum associate degree in accounting
