We are seeking an SQF Coordinator to be based in our Pembroke, NC facility. The SQF Coordinator will lead in the development, implementation of continuous improvement of Food Safety & Quality Regulatory Compliance programs. SQF Coordinator works directly with the Quality Manager regarding HACCP, GMPs, traceability, Food Safety Plans, and prerequisite programs, including verification and validation activities. SQF Coordinator leads all internal, regulatory and customer audits. This position is also responsible to ensure all programs and documents are in compliance with regulatory, third-party and customer requirements.
Applicants can expect to make between $55,000 to $65,000 a year upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors.
Your Day to Day
- Act as lead SQF Practitioner to maintain SQF Level 3 certification for the food manufacturing facility.
- Coordinate and lead regulatory, customer and third-party audits to ensure compliance.
- Implement SQF and customer requirements in process and procedures.
- Perform risk analyses for Food Safety and Quality plans and threat analysis.
- Assess the effectiveness of the FSQ programs by conducting internal audits and train employees or modify procedures to meet standards.
- Lead the implementation of projects and be responsible for the maintenance of the FSQ programs.
- Manage the CAPA program by collaborating with key stakeholders related to actions and timelines needed to address FSQ concerns, gaps, or audit findings.
- Oversee hold and release programs for Finished Product and Ingredients to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
- Investigate and write reports for customer complaints.
- Work with Key Stakeholders and QA team to investigate and resolve FSQ issues.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately.
What You Bring to the Team
- Bachelor’s degree in food science or Related Field
- Minimum of 5 years of Quality Assurance experience
- Preferred food manufacturing background
- Performs work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multitask and be detail oriented.
- Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within a reasonable time.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrates good verbal communication skills.
