The Production Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling production in an organization to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and standard. They will perform tasks such as taking inventory, making supply orders, handling disputes among team members, and regularly assessing safety standards in all areas. Leaders are responsible for influencing, motivating, supporting, and providing guidance to all production team members and peers alike.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Training, motivating and encouraging team members to produce quality products.
- Partner with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition to ensure accuracy in budgeted headcount.
- Ensure that all product is manufactured in a correct, cost-effective and timely manner in alignment with specifications and quality requirements.
- Plan, implement and control the production schedule accordingly.
- Manage human and material resources to ensure production targets are met.
- Managing quality and quantities of production daily and adjusting areas that need improvement.
- Set quality programs as needed.
- Develop and implement programs that ensure quality control and correct problems.
- Researching new technologies and alternative methods of efficiency.
- Managing production budgets, estimating production costs, implementing cost control programs, and managing overall cost.
- Overseeing inventory, distribution of finished goods.
- Ensuring the safety of the workforce.
- Develop and encourage a highly collaborative and employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.
- Committed to ongoing personal development.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- 6 years of manufacturing or production experience; 2 years in a leadership position.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of the manufacturing process, and continuous improvement activities.
- Lean Manufacturing experience and background certification are a plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and planning skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
