What are the responsibilities and job description for the ERM Project Director position at Stifel?
The ERM Project Director (“Project Director”) will be responsible for planning and overseeing multiple projects throughout the department and the Firm. This role will have strong work plan development and progress oversight skills and will be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams, set and manage deadlines, prepare and present progress updates to senior management on a regular basis, and ensure projects stay on track, adjusting if necessary to meet new requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct and manage projects and lead cross-functional teams to ensure maximum performance, providing purpose, direction and motivation to ensure project goals.
- Oversee planning, development, requirements gathering, specifications, test plans, test execution, issue triage, risk management, and communication to the business units.
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with business users and business stakeholders.
- Communicate to senior management and business stakeholders regarding project status, risks, issues and recommended solutions.
- Responsible for making decisions with respect to projects and other work-related items.
- Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.
- Some travel by car and/or air in conjunction with local, regional and/or national travel, up to 50%.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage one’s own time and priorities to ensure the meeting of deadlines with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of all phases of software development including requirements analysis, design, testing (integration, user, and performance), implementation and support a plus.
- Excellent conceptualization, presentation and communication skills to effectively execute change.
- Solid knowledge of the financial services industry.
Education and Experience
- Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required
- Minimum Required: 10 year’s direct work experience in a project management and business analysis capacity including all aspects of process development and execution
