What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Stinson Services Inc?
The Bookkeeper oversees the company's financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. They perform daily accounting tasks such as general ledger entries and record payments and adjustments. The bookkeeper also handles all receipt filing and documentation and check writing.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Process accounts receivable and payable and audit weekly for accuracy
- Review and reconcile billing statements and invoices for accuracy, alert of any discrepancies
- Prompt payment of bills and vendor statements on a monthly basis
- Process customer invoices, credit memos and payments, reminders
- Payroll (for 1 employee)
- Printing vendor checks on a weekly basis
- Transaction entry and allocating for all banking transactions into Quickbooks
- Job Costing reconciliation
- Accounting: receipt tracking and filing in Quickbooks
- Reconciling bank accounts on a monthly basis
- Filing of returns and tax payments on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Work with Controller, Director of Finance, CFO, and CEO on monthly and annual reporting
- 940/941 - W9’s - W2 - 1099’s
Under normal conditions a 16-20 hr work week, periodically will require extra time and effort during the certain months.
