What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Analyst (NON C2C) position at STL?
The Business Analyst will primarily be working with stakeholders to gather functional and technical information to provide to a developer. They will work as a liaison between both business and development teams. While you will provide the technical specs, you will not do coding, maintenance or database work.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Facilitates discussions with prospective users to identify their unique business requirements and employs comprehensive technical and functional expertise of organizationally supported technologies to identify the specific software applications, adaptations, personalized configurations, and upgrades required to satisfy those requirements.
- Serves as a liaison between company employees and member/retail user to optimize supported software applications.
- Creates, maintains, and distributes process flows, documentation and reference guides to users on assigned software application and hardware.
- Adheres to project management plans for the rollout of new or updated software applications are followed and executed according to the designated timeline.
- Coordinates with others in IT Portfolio to ensure alignment and coordination of all technology and software systems both within our company and at the retail level.
- Offers guidance, instruction, and support to software users. Provides training as needed to Corporate, Member/Retail, and end customer users.
- Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
- Must be comfortable with writing moderately complex SQL queries, can work with multiple tables, understand data relationships and joins, and can create simple database structures.
- Power BI, Excel, SSMS strongly preferred
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent thereof, and 5 years or more of related work experience to demonstrate applications working knowledge to provide computer software recommendations, support, and leadership.
- Understanding of and experience with systems and how various applications interface and interact with one another.
- Strong understanding of business operations, strategies, and processes, as well as excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Must have the ability to travel independently and overnight as necessary.
- Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record and passport.
- Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on company policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
