A Family Office is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team onsite in West Palm Beach and work with their accounting department to oversee our organization’s expenses including processing payments, verifying invoices and performing account reconciliations as needed. Responsibilities:
- Perform day to day full cycle accounts payable transactions to ensure accurate and timely payment processing
- Receive, process, verify and reconcile invoices, checks, and/or payments
- Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry
- Execute credit card and bank account reconciliation
- Generate, track and/or verify purchase orders when necessary
- Obtain and print signatures on all checks
- Strengthen and grow relationships with vendors and suppliers through timely payments
- Support the preparation of financial statements
- Assist senior financial officers as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related area
- 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable
- Intermediate or higher level skills in MS Excel.
- Experience in QuickBooks preferred
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP, accounts payable principles, accounting standards and industry regulations
