What are the responsibilities and job description for the HRIS Analyst position at Stoel Rives LLP?
Stoel Rives LLP has an immediate opening for a HRIS Analyst in any of our offices. This position supports the Firm-wide Human Capital Management (HCM) function - Workday. This position manages HR data, including employee records, and oversees the system, implementing process improvements, ensuring data quality, and analyzing and reporting on the data in Workday. This position reports to the HRIS/Payroll Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Workday Database Management
Responsible to enter and maintain human capital data in Workday. Translate business objectives and user needs into clearly written technical requirements; these business objectives can originate from the front-line organization, finance, HR, or other departments. Implement business requirements into existing systems or assist in choosing additional point solutions that help solve these business problems. Manage software implementation projects; implement new HRIS modules or point solutions and integrate them into the bigger HR software landscape. Serve as point of contact for questions regarding Workday. Work with trainer team to update training materials for end users. . Generate reports including writing, maintaining, and supporting a variety of reports utilizing appropriate reporting tools.
2. IT Project Management
Assist in leading technical project management to improve functionality of Workday and overall human capital data. Partner with internal stakeholders to develop technology solutions that help to streamline and automate new HR processes.
3. Process Improvements/Policy Changes
Implement process improvements and policy changes designed to improve efficiency and the user experience within the system. Serve as system administrator for HR systems and applications, ensuring security, end-user access, and data integrity across all HR platforms and propose process improvements or policy changes to effectuate the same.
4. Cross-Department Partnership
Work with Finance, IT, and other departments to maintain and improve Workday, including configuration, end-user access, security, and system efficiency.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer sciences, human resource management or related fields or 8-10 years of relevant experience
- Must have at least three years of experience supporting Workday

Technical Knowledge
Must have excellent computer skills, and advanced Excel skills. Working knowledge of data base software and basic programming language preferred. Must have the ability to learn advanced functions of Workday and programming/report writing language. Must have analytic accounting/math skills. Must be proficient in using spreadsheet, data base, Adobe, word processing software programs, and electronic record keeping programs in a Windows-based environment.
Physical and Mental Capabilities
Must be able to operate a telephone, personal computer (PC), photocopy machine, 10-key adding machine by touch, and other general office equipment. Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information. Must be able to communicate information and ideas effectively and to communicate clearly and tactfully. Must be able to handle multiple projects with variables that are subject to change and analyze information rapidly. Must be able to express ideas clearly, using good grammar, language, and terminology. Must be able to read and comprehend handwritten and typed notes or instructions. Must be able to type on a computer keyboard in a sitting position for extended periods of time during the workday.
NORMAL WORK HOURS
This position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime compensation. Regular office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Ability to work outside of regular office hours, sometimes on short notice, is important.
