Junior Accountant

We are currently looking to fill the open position Junior Accountant, based in Stamford, CT.
In this role you will provide administrative and financial support services to the America’s region, one of our biggest markets. This position will work independently and with other finance personnel, internal departments, and external parties to meet deadlines and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
• Support with Accounts Receivable/collections.
• Assist with Account Payable.
• Support the Asset Management processes and reporting (fixed assets, prepaids).
• Assist with processing, reconciling payments, researching chargebacks.
• Post journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts as needed.
• Assist with financial statement review.
• Support function for Controller with month-end, year-end closing activities.
• Act as back-up support to the Credit Controller.
• Assist with the annual financial audit and ongoing compliance efforts.
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required
• 1 - 3 years professional experience in accounting/finance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Experience using a large-scale ERP.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with attention to detail.
• Team player, willingness to be flexible and adaptable to change
