Summary
The Storeroom Specialist is responsible for managing all phases of spare parts, maintenance stores and materials.
Responsibilities
- Overall administration and management of storage rooms and parts management procedures, including security of parts, inventory, and compliance with lean production/5S principals.
- Identifies critical spare parts, continuously evaluates ABCs, and sets stock min/max levels based on multiple factors including risk mitigation and anticipation of planned maintenance
- Works in partnership with Maintenance Team to ensure parts are available for planned work and identifies gaps in parts and/or material availability that could impact the business or project schedule
- Track inventory using computerized inventory systems and ensure all items are appropriately received and stored.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels, make ordering decisions, and ensure the optimal inventory is ready when needed.
- Creates requisitions for new items and stock replenishment, ensures timely delivery and communicates availability and delivery date of requisitioned items
- Inspects incoming materials for order accuracy and noncompliance
- Processes requests for materials and receives, stocks, and issues items as required, and communicates with customers to resolve problems during the receive and issue procedure
- Assist and advise personnel regarding choice of replacement parts, equipment, etc.
- Kits parts for planned work as needed.
- Ensures the completion of cycle counts and physical inventories
- Gather information and report trends related to inventory levels.
- Provide regular and effective communication updates regarding new items and on-hand inventory.
- Prepare and present information and reports to management as needed.
- Provide and implement ideas for parts management and planning/scheduling process improvements.
- Authors and edits SOPs for all aspects of the MRO supply chain and parts documentation processes
- Utilizes CMMS and updates parts documentation in CMMS as needed.
- Fosters, cultivates, and regularly reevaluates critical vendor relationships to best meet the needs of the business
Requirements
- High school degree or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum 7 years related experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance
- 2 years of related experience and/or training in maintenance planning or MRO inventory management preferred
- Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude, technical knowledge, and familiarity with equipment components and parts.
- Ability to read and interpret machine blueprints, explosions, and other technical diagrams
- Knowledge of industrial fittings and fasteners such as pipes, bolts and other hardware items required.
- Computer Skills: High level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel. Experience with Microsoft AX preferred.
- Language Skills: Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
