Position: Children’s Ministry Leader
Reports To: Senior Pastor
Position Purpose: To provide leadership with passion and oversight to increase, develop, and administer the Children's Ministry Weekend Worship (Nursery - 5th grade) by utilizing the five purposes of the church (Worship, Evangelism, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry).

The Children’s Ministry Leader/Pastor is responsible for developing, coordinating, and administering the 10:30 am Children’s Worship Service and Stonebrooke Church mission for preschool through 6th grades; seeking to connect children and their families to Christ, to Stonebrooke Church and to the world.
Essential Duties
- Actively recruit children and families to weekend services.
- Develop a well-defined vision and strategy for discipleship for the Weekend Children’s Ministry that works in conjunction with the overall vision and ministry of the Senior Pastor.
- Implement dynamic, biblically based curriculum that is inline with Stonebrooke Church theology helping children connect with God and grow in their faith.
- Implement Children’s Ministry Policies and Procedures.
- Build and develop a leadership team by recruiting and training volunteers that are committed to the goals and objectives of Children’s Ministry.
- Design and implement a Children’s Ministry outreach event every quarter.
- Develops annual Children’s Ministry budget and monitors monthly spending within the approved budget.
- Responsible for the safety of children by ensuring that all volunteers and teachers are properly screened and qualified to serve according to California law standards.
Secondary Responsibilities
- A team player with church staff with participation in staff functions (meetings, planning sessions, and special events).
- Confirm that all members, attenders, volunteers, visitors and children are properly registered and checked-in on Sunday using church management software.
- Purchase and prepare craft activities and any materials for classes.
- Make sure classrooms are safe, clean, well-organized, and inviting.
- Send volunteer reminders using church management software of their upcoming duties.
Qualifications
- A Christian who is a dedicated individual and passionate about working with children and their families.
- College graduate preferred.
- Attend seminars or online training to keep programs current and up to date with laws and regulations in the state of California.
- Become a regular Stonebrooke Church member while supporting the church through attendance and tithing.

Pay: $520/week. Part time, no benefits.
