Title: Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Compensation: $120k - $150k Depending on Experience

Location: Durango (Relocation Assistance for the right individuals looking for a change in scenery) - (Nestled in the southwestern part of Colorado, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty, outdoor adventure (winter sports and summer excursions), and cultural richness.)

We are seeking to hire a Sr. Mechanical Engineer for a prestigious organization committed to shaping a future where humanity thrives beyond Earth's bounds.

Based out of a once frontier mining town, Durango, CO, the firm is a leading innovator in thrusters and propulsion systems providing solutions and high performance for next-generation space travel. They are a top choice for U.S. gov't missions and have supported prime contractors to the DoD, NASA, and other agencies. With a singular focus on propulsion and domestic production, they take pride in being a single-source integrator, exceeding our customers' expectations while delivering cost-effective solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design aerospace components and assemblies for propulsion systems
• Conduct structural, thermal, and fluid analysis
• Create engineering drawings and plans for manufacturing
• Interface with Test and manufacturing teams, and external suppliers

Qualifications:

• 5 years of Mechanical Engineering
• Proficiency with Mechanism Desing
• Experience designing for extreme in-space environments (temperature, highly corrosive etc.)
• Experience with designing fluid system components (e.g. pressure vessels, control valves and fittings)
• Proven experience in Space/Spacecraft, Aerospace, and/or Defense or Related Sectors
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace engineering or other related fields
• Strong Experience with CAD/CAM Software (e.g. SolidWorks, Catia etc.)

Bonus Points: Advanced technical degree and experience with spacecraft thrusters/propulsion systems
