The IT intern will work with the IT Operations Manager to ensure all systems are running efficiently while ensuring users are able to be productive in their day-to-day routine. This position is perfect for a current student as it would provide flexible work hours and an opportunity to work alongside our IT Operations team in the Fargo office. The internship will be for 12 weeks during the summer of 2024.

A Day in the Life
  • Providing helpdesk support to internal employees
  • Assist with licensing and software compliance 
  • Monitoring network and identify any issues that may cause performance problems 
  • PC imaging, repair, and inventory along with Life Cycle Management 
  • Assist with upgrades and installations on PC’s and servers
  • Monitoring and maintenance of systems and security (Entra, Active Directory, Intune, etc.)
  • Documentation of all systems where documentation is needed


Preferred Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a technical degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field at a North Dakota College or University and taking at least 6 credits during the internship or semester prior to the internship is required*
  • Must have an understanding of networks, routers, switches, and firewalls 
  • Working knowledge of PC’s and server equipment 
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills 
  • Positive, can-do attitude 
  • Ability to work in a very fast paced environment  
  • High level of detail orientation 
  • Time management skills making it possible to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment 
  • Capable of thinking creatively and share ideas freely
  • Ability to lift 50-75 pounds
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both spoken and written English

Work Location: This position requires at least 3 days in office per week in Fargo, ND. 

*Stoneridge Software is a participant in the North Dakota Commerce Operation Intern Program. The selected candidate must provide proof of College/University Enrollment at the time of offer.


Compensation
  • Our philosophy is to provide compensation that is Competitive, Equitable, and Driven by Performance.  Various factors impact our pay ranges including market conditions and national salary data. To determine competitive salaries within this range we consider candidates skills, qualifications, and experience. These are national ranges, inclusive of bonus opportunities and could represent multiple role levels.

  • US (USD): $15 per hour, at a maximum of 40 hours per week
