Responsibilities

As a Prime Brokerage Onboarding and Operations Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and smooth onboarding of new prime brokerage clients and supporting ongoing operational processes. This position requires exceptional attentiveness, strong email and communication skills, acute attention to detail when reviewing formation documents, and the ability to navigate various internal groups while proactively following up on tasks. Initiative is of paramount importance to excel in this role.

 

  • Client Onboarding:
    • Collaborate with the sales and client relationship teams to understand client requirements and expectations.
    • Initiate the onboarding process for new prime brokerage clients, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and reviewed promptly.
    • Communicate with clients to request and clarify required information and documents.
    • Follow established procedures and checklists to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for clients.
  • Formation Document Review:
    • Thoroughly review formation documents, including partnership agreements, corporate bylaws, and other legal documents.
    • Verify the accuracy and completeness of client-provided documentation.
    • Identify discrepancies or missing information and liaise with clients to resolve issues.
    • Maintain meticulous records of document reviews and approvals.
  • Communication and Follow-up:
    • Maintain regular communication with clients via email and phone, providing updates on the onboarding progress.
    • Collaborate with internal teams such as legal, compliance, and risk to facilitate necessary approvals and clearances.
    • Proactively follow up on outstanding tasks and requirements, ensuring timely resolution.
    • Document all client interactions and correspondence accurately.
  • Internal Coordination:
    • Act as a liaison between different internal departments involved in the onboarding process.
    • Coordinate with compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
    • Work closely with the operations team to set up client accounts and enable trading activities.
    • Address any operational issues that arise during the onboarding process.
  • Initiative and Process Improvement:
    • Identify areas for process improvement and propose enhancements to streamline onboarding procedures.
    • Take the initiative to resolve challenges and obstacles that may impede the onboarding process.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in prime brokerage operations.

    Qualifications

    StoneX Essential Qualifications

    • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a relevant program and graduating between December 2023 and August 2024 (entering penultimate year of university)
    • Available for a June 2023 start date for an 8 – 10-week program
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with tact and discretion
    • Strong verbal/written communication abilities and effective interpersonal skills
    • Strong sense of urgency
    • Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to detail
    • Must be authorized to work in the US for any employee

    Early Careers Requirements:

    Pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a relevant program and graduating between December 2024 and August 2025 (entering penultimate year of university)

    Available for a June 2024 start date for an 8 – 10-week program

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (preferably Excel)

    Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer
