About the Role
ServiceNow Senior Business Analyst design, develop and own technical solutions on ServiceNow platform. You will work with key project stakeholders to capture business and user requirements. You will ensure the requirements are understood, developed, tested, and delivered to specification.
The sound knowledge of the ServiceNow Platform and applications, detailed understanding of the business users serviced by the ServiceNow Platform is expected. The ability to describe business and user requirements in a manner that enables system administrators and application developers to understand, estimate the relative effort, and deliver business functionality will be helpful. In addition to having a strong technical foundation and knowledge of the ServiceNow Platform, you should have strong communications and relationship-building skills and the ability to identify the downstream implications of new requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on ServiceNow related expertise to identify and design optimal solutions aligned with business requirements as well as platform strategy.
- Act as a liaison between the business/project stakeholders and platform operations and development team; represent business and project stakeholders throughout the planning, development, and release processes; communicate development progress to the stakeholders.
- Provide assistance to service/process owners in designing or mapping the services or processes they manage.
- Facilitate and lead discovery and consulting workshops.
- Identify, gather, and document business, process, and data requirements; translate the requirements into development stories with acceptance criteria.
- Assist with assessing, prioritizing and managing enhancement requests in the backlog.
- Assist the development team with Scrum ceremonies – facilitate backlog refinement meeting.
- Help the platform operations and development team understand and test the business requirements.
- Assist platform operations team with administrative tasks.
- Translate technical complexities to business and project stakeholders to make sure they understand the design decisions.
- Assist with increasing and improving adoption of ServiceNow solutions across the organization through education, training, promotion and increasing awareness of available solutions and services.
- Monitor platform usage, identify opportunities for improvement, manage and implement improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- You have previous experience as a consultant or Business Analyst in ServiceNow environment.
- You possess sound knowledge of ServiceNow platform, especially of ITSM, ITOM, CSM and DevOps applications.
- You are able to collaborate with business/development stakeholders to determine and negotiate acceptable solutions.
- You know how to document business requirements and translate them into technical documentation, and you can translate technical complexities into customer-friendly documents.
- Having knowledge of process mapping techniques (i.e. BPMN) is a plus.
