Job Description:
Convergent Revenue Cycle Management (part of TSI family of companies), a premiere national healthcare receivables management company, is seeking a Patient Account Representative to work remotely.
Reporting to the Operation Managers, the Patient Account Representative will assist the Self Pay department in providing our clients and Patients/Guarantors with the highest quality of customer service possible.
Essential Functions:
Demonstrate excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
Ability to communicate effectively with Patient, Guarantor and Third Party in addressing inquires of minor, major or complex issues
Thorough and detailed notation/documentation of patient billing information (demographic, insurance, payment information) in FACS (Flexible Automated Collection System) and Hospital System as required
Educate Patients/Guarantors/Third Party’s on billing processes; unpaid balances, balance assessed by insurance, denials, or other inquires
Ability to collect i.e. offer account resolution by providing payment options, establish payment agreements, or financial assistance
Maintain confidentiality of patient information including medical records (according to HIPAA, client, and company guidelines)
Audit and review accounts as needed to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Skilled in typing while listening
Effectively manage time and tasks assigned
All other duties as assigned by supervisor
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Customer Service
Familiar with multiple (widely used) patient accounting/billing systems
Proficiency with various software programs such as Excel and Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge of call center operations, standard business practices, and soft collections procedures
Superior customer service and strong analytical skills
Punctually and dependability a must
Task oriented
Compensation: $12-14/hourly
For Remote Positions:
The minimum internet speed requirements for remote work are as follows:
Broadband internet connection (No DSL, or Dial Up)
Hard wired connection (no wifi, wifi hotspots)
Speed Test Results: 25 mbps download, 20 mbps upload
Employees must have dedicated internet connectivity/bandwidth that is sufficient to satisfy their daily responsibilities without interruption. It is recommended that while a TSI employee is working during their shift, other members of the household restrain from activities (e.g. streaming, online gaming, etc.) that may detract from the available internet connectivity/bandwidth. Employees who have significant interruptions according to their manager may be required to work on site.
