What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deli/Prep position at Stop and Shop Supermarket?
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Servicing customers.
- Back room preparation of product ie., opening roast beefs, hams, etc.
- Cleaning and sanitation of the equipment and work area.
- Washing down cooler, which may require moving product and racks.
- Putting away loads.
- Loading product into the case.
- Assist in the cheese bazaar area/ordering, set‑up and put away loads.
- Rewrapping product at the end of the night.
- Restocking bread and snack racks in front of deli cases.
- Load chicken oven/prepare sandwiches daily.
- Clean Fry‑O‑Lators, Chicken Rotisserie and backroom area.
- Other job functions as assigned or necessary
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Lifting up to 60 lbs.
0‑10 lbs ‑ 45% of your lifting day

Carrying up to 60 lbs.
Pushing U boats (200‑300 lbs.)
