Produce Clerk
Job Posting for Produce Clerk at Stop and Shop Supermarket
Duties:
- Clean and maintain the produce department to ensure a safe and sanitary environment
- Stock and rotate produce items on shelves, ensuring freshness and quality
- Assist customers in selecting and bagging produce items
- Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and specials
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient department operations
Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills to effectively manage inventory and maintain a clean department
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Ability to operate a cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Basic understanding of retail math for pricing and weighing produce items
Note: Previous experience as a Produce Clerk is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate who demonstrates the willingness to learn and grow in this role.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.69 per hour
