Total Rewards Director
Storable is looking for a Total Rewards Director to implement competitive and equitable compensation structures, maintain and improve our company bonus program, and craft our company benefit plans. This is an opportunity to develop and implement a total rewards philosophy within a rapidly scaling organization that is at the forefront of SaaS in the storage and marina industries.
You will add strategic value, partnering with leaders to create reward programs that align with the needs and culture of Storable. We're looking for a leader with compensation, benefits, and systems experience to provide strategic solutions and roll up their sleeves to implement those solutions for the greatest impact.
This is a full-time role that will report to the Sr. Director, People Operations, and be a part of a growing Shared Services function.

What You'll Do Every Day
- Own the compensation function by building and maintaining our job architecture framework, job grading, and pathing consistent with market practices for over 500 employees across the US.
- Develop, maintain, and administer variable pay programs, including our Sales commission plans to recognize performance and achieve the right balance of fixed and variable compensation.
- Work collaboratively across the People Operations, Talent, and Finance teams to run our compensation, benefits, and bonus programs.
- Liaise with external benefits partners to design and administer employee benefit programs.
- Establish and measure key metrics, benchmarking company programs, and monitoring external trends to ensure market competitiveness and ensure internal and external pay equity.
- Develop and maintain effective communication strategies to drive employee awareness and understanding of Total Reward programs. This includes Lunch & Learns, videos, educational materials, manager training and more
- Partner with our Talent Acquisition team to ensure we’re targeting markets in which our salary ranges are hyper-competitive and improve our right-to-win.
- Provide compensation and analytics reporting and recommendations based on industry, labor market, geographic or other insights as necessary
- Ensure all salary ranges are reviewed and refreshed annually. New roles are market priced to slot into appropriate ranges; etc
- Play a key role in executing our biannual compensation cycles, including base, bonus, and creating/rolling out an IPM for bonuses.
- Develop compensation reports and tools to inform compensation program decisions.
- Provide subject-matter expertise on topics related to compensation.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support total rewards projects.
What you need to bring to the table:
- 7 years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits for a multi-state employer
- Experience managing and working within a self-insured benefit environment
- Demonstrated success being a self-starter and showing initiative, both leading indicators of success when working at a distributed organization
- You like digging into the numbers and enjoy capturing and interpreting data to advise your decisions
- Extensive experience using compensation surveys
- You are meticulously organized, with fine attention to detail, and a skillful communications approach at all levels.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with high initiative, flexibility, and team approach to work
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to communicate complex information in an easily digestible format
- You are highly skilled in Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides.
- You have demonstrable experience with benefits administration and related HRIS and/or ERP systems.
- The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert in compensation principles, practices, and analysis
